When it came to deciding on our wedding favors, we had a dilly of a time (does anyone else say that besides me?). We wanted to give our guests something fun that that had to do with us as a couple, but not something with our names and wedding date on it, or something that they would probably throw away anyway.
So, after a few months of thinking over this idea, a memory of the first few months of our relationship came to mind. I don't even know why I thought of it, but there was one time that I visited Matthew in Texas, before I moved, that we shared our love for honey sticks and picked some up at a small shop in Austin. This memory made me smile, and that's how we came up with the idea.
We ordered the honey sticks from Amazon, and they showed up in packs of 8 like this.
We decided to do bundles of 6 sticks per guest and wrap them in thin ribbon in our wedding colors: sage and plum. I used about 10 inches of each type of ribbon to create bows.
I adore how they turned out, and they were a big hit at the reception with our guests.
And, look how cute this photo is with our rings.
